Returns Policy

At Maternity World, not only do we want you to love our products as much as we do, we also aim to provide you with the best online shopping experience possible.

Returns

If you would like to return or exchange an item, please contact us as soon as possible, but within 14 days of the shipping date indicating the reason for the return.

Please include your order number on all returns. This allows us to keep track of your details so we can best service your needs.

The item must be returned to Maternity World within 14 days of the shipping date. It must be unwashed, unworn and in original condition (this includes all original tags and packaging ).

Upon inspecting the returned item, we will then gladly credit your original method of payment, or provide you with an exchange or credit. (Unless the item was on sale, then we do not offer a refund, exchange or credit).

Please note:

  • We will only accept returned goods with prior notification.
  • We do not accept back change of mind returns where the item has been used.
  • We do not refund your freight costs, if you received free freight, the amount of the freight ($8.00) will be deducted from your refund.
  • Additional freight costs are at the expense of the customer unless goods are faulty or not as ordered.
  • We regret we are unable to refund, exchange or credit items on sale.
  • Returned items that have been worn, damaged or altered from their original state will not be exchanged or refunded and will be returned to the customer.
  • Maternity World reserves the right to refuse to take the goods back or to charge a restocking fee of up to 10% if the item is returned later than 14 days after approval given
  • If you used a GrabOne voucher to make payment then there are no refunds but we are happy to exchange items as per our exchanges policy below.
  • Store credits are issued in the form of online gift certificates that can be used toward future purchases.

Exchanges

Maternity World cannot always guarantee availability of products as our stock is seasonal and most items we only stock one of. If you would like to exchange for a different size, please follow the instructions noted above for returns.

We regret that we are unable to refund original shipping and handling costs, unless the item was faulty or not as ordered.

It is your responsibility to ensure goods arrive safely to the return address and to provide a prepaid self addressed postage bag so the new item can be posted out.  

If you have indicated to exchange for an item that is sold out or that is delayed, we will notify you of the situation via email. It would be helpful if you can also indicate an alternate style, in case we cannot fill your first choice. If your exchange is above the price of the original order, we will need to contact you for your credit card details. For overseas exchanges, delivery costs will be at original shipping charges.

Refunds and exchanges are processed within 1-3 days of receiving the goods at Maternity World

Faulty Items

Very occasionally a product may develop a manufacturer's fault & we will do all we can to resolve this to your satisfaction.

We will happily meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act if our products have been wrongly described, develop a fault or are not fit for the purpose described.  Please email us immediately at sales@maternityworld.co.nz and we will arrange a satisfactory outcome.

Sale Items

We are unable to refund or exchange sale items unless the item is deemed faulty.



Please remember to include with the return a copy of the original invoice or the original order details such as the order number, name, postal address and phone number and your authorisation number.
